About Us

Safer Cities. Healthier Lives

We protect lives by addressing critical challenges such as road traffic crashes, substance abuse, and public health risks in underserved areas in urban communities. Recognizing the projected rise in Ghana’s urban population — expected to reach 70% of the total population, or approximately 52.47 million people by 2050 — we work proactively to address the emerging challenges associated with rapid urbanization.

This growth marks a significant increase from the 57.98% urban population recorded in 2021, with projections indicating a steady rise to 33 million by 2024 and exceeding 44.7 million by 2040.

Transforming Communities, One Story at a Time

From safer streets to empowered youth, these inspiring stories highlight how UrbSafe Ghana’s initiatives are creating lasting impact in underserved urban areas.

Community Road Safety Outreach

Through our Youth Urban Safety Ambassadors program, UrbSafe Ghana trains students to lead road safety education in schools and communities. These ambassadors conduct peer-to-peer workshops, traffic patrol awareness, and lead local campaigns to reduce crashes and pedestrian risks.

Together, we're raising the next generation of safety leaders.

In our Safer Voices on Air initiative, we partner with local radio stations to amplify voices on urban safety, drug abuse prevention, and community health. Through interviews, jingles, and expert panels, we bring life-saving information directly to underserved neighborhoods.

Because education saves lives—even over the airwaves.
