Mohammed Gazali Salifu
Founder & Executive Director
Mohammed Gazali Salifu is the Founder and Executive Director of UrbSafe Ghana. He is a Health Systems and Public Health Specialist with over seven years of experience leading health systems strengthening initiatives across Africa.
Mohammed has served as a consultant for several esteemed institutions, including the World Bank Group and the Johns Hopkins Health System. He holds a Master of Public Health and is currently pursuing a PhD in Health Systems at the Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University
Mohammed is deeply committed to advancing evidence-based strategies that improve healthcare delivery and outcomes, particularly in low- and middle-income settings. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
He previously served in Ghana’s public sector for over six years as a Health Policy Analyst – Monitoring and Evaluation at the Ministry of Health. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications and has been recognized with honors such as:
- American Public Health Association Injury Control and Environmental Health (ICEH) Roads Scholar
- Emerging Public Leaders Ghana Inaugural Fellowship
